Borders of Nothingness - On the Mend

Borders of Nothingness – On the Mend marked a turning point in Lansink’s international practice, receiving the Grand Prize of the Hariban Award in 2019.
The series reflects on loss and reconciliation through a restrained visual language, drawing inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of kintsugi, where breakage and repair are understood as part of an object’s history.
Rather than seeking resolution, the work remains attentive to impermanence, fragility and quiet transformation.
